As we approach a new season, we are sending out to all members and club officials a copy of the Code of Conduct. This has been developed by the RFU and adopted by Belper RFC.
Unfortunately across the national game, there have been increasing levels of poor behaviour on the pitch, on the touchline and within the club environment. For example, match official abuse from players and spectators is becoming a real problem in some areas. There is a game-wide zero tolerance approach of match official abuse, and quite right too! Referees are an important part of the game.
Fortunately this alarming trend has not been the case at Belper. We are a friendly and welcoming club to visitors and players: we are a great example of rugby culture and we want to keep it that way!
